about

All songs written by Matt Reischling
Produced by Kris Dilbeck
Engineered by Kris Dilbeck & Cory Stuck

I returned up to the Bay Area in 2003 after living/playing music in San Diego for a year and connected with my old friend, Kris Dilbeck, who had just graduated from Berklee College Of Music. I showed him some new songs and off we went into the studio, then called Banquet Studios, now called White Whale. I met a whole new group of incredible musicians on the project, including Spencer Burrows who quickly became one of my best friends.

The songs are super earnest and, as I hear them now with the benefit of time, extremely open, playful, and honest. I've tried to stay raw and honest over the years, but these cut to the bone in an a fresh, exuberant kind of way. I hope you dig a few. Thanks again to Kris, and all involved! xo -M
